In a show of force by the city’s growing technology sector, hundreds of people gathered at the Pearl on Tuesday for the launch of SATechBloc, a new advocacy group for the local tech industry. “All of the great American cities that are pursuing a future in technology have stepped up their game, but we’re a little behind. We’ve done some great things, but we need more. We need more programs, more support, and we need better policy at City Hall,” said David Heard, chief marketing officer at SecureLogix and one of SATechBloc’s more than 50 co-founders.
