Join the 2017 Tech Bloc [email protected] to meet iconic tech founders, and celebrate your growing San Antonio tech industry movement! Come early for a Retro-Techie Party filled with food trucks, spirits, vintage Atari gaming and a Cosplay contest. Come dressed as your favorite comic, sci-fi, or gaming character, and test your Pac-Man, Asteroids and Space Invaders skills. There will be prizes! Get down on it y’all.

The Birth of Video Games and Silicon Valley, Stories and Wisdom from the Founder of ATARI:

Nolan Bushnell is the founder of ATARI and 20 other companies, the world recognized father of the video game industry, a member of the Consumer Electronics Association Hall of Fame, one Newsweek’s “50 People Who Changed America,” and was notably the first person to hire Steve Jobs. Nolan will sit down for an in-depth converstaion with David Martin Davies, host of The Source on Texas Public Radio, and author of a column on video gaming for the San Antonio Express News.

The Startup That Changed San Antonio – The Creation, Growth, and Future of Rackspace:

Dirk Elmendorf (Trinity University graduate, Rackspace co-founder and serial entrepreneur), and Lew Moorman (former Rackspace president, Scaleworks founder, and Tech Bloc co-founder) join Graham Weston (former Chairman of Rackspace, and founder of Geekdom, the 80/20 Foundation, and the Weston-Urban real estate company) to discuss the earliest days of Rackspace, lessons from its meteoric growth, and what’s next for each of them.
