ACHIEVING A CARBON NEUTRAL SA
What Will it Take? What is the City Doing? How Can Innovation and Technology Lead the Way?

Come join the conversation on SA’s climate, energy and carbon emissions future. After a year of community input, the San Antonio City Council is set to adopt a new Climate Action Plan, which calls for San Antonio to reduce or offset its greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050.

However, some in the energy industry and business community have argued for less stringent future emissions goals and requirements for energy producers and citizens. Others feel the plan doesn’t go far enough.

Here’s your chance to learn what’s in the current plan and hear a variety of expert opinions on what it will take for SA to be carbon neutral by 2050. We’ll also discuss the role of innovation and technology in building a more equitable, environmentally resilient and economically viable future.

Expert Panelists:
The Honorable Ana Sandoval - San Antonio City Council District 7
Abigail Rodriguez - Manager of Passenger Amenities, VIA
Robert Miggins - Founder and CEO, Big Sun Solar

Panel Moderator:
Lew Moorman - Tech Bloc Chairman and Co-Founder of Scaleworks

1st drink is on the house for all Tech Bloc members, compliments of Burgerteca.
